"You look at some of the players who are struggling to get to their best at Manchester United, the young players, [Jadon] Sancho, [Marcus] Rashford, they are really struggling to play well.

"Of course you can [blame Ronaldo]. Know your role, you are a footballer, you were recruited by a football club," he said.

Furthermore, Sinclair also advised Ronaldo to be quiet and answer all criticism with a good performance on the field.

“Shut your mouth because sometimes it's the best thing to do. He caused a lot of problems at his club," said Sinclair.

"It's not just the lack of goals in recent times, but the fact that Ole [Gunnar Solskjaer] has left and Michael [Carrick] comes in and has him on for a game."
